Create your first timetable

When you finish, you will have a downloadable class timetable with one placed lesson.

  • You can sign in with Google or Microsoft.
  • Have a project name and an alias for a subject, teacher, room, and class ready.
  • Use fictional data for this trial run.
  1. Sign in

Select Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft. Stundenwerk automatically creates an organization when you sign in for the first time.

  2. Create or open a project

In the project overview, select Create project, enter a name such as “School year 2026/27”, and confirm with Create project. Open an existing project if one is already prepared.

  3. Check lesson slots

Open Project settings. Under Lesson slots, define the timetable rows. Change at least one entry and select Save. Learn more about lesson slots

  4. Create a subject

Open Subjects, select Create, and enter the alias MAT and the name Mathematics, for example. Confirm with Create.

  5. Create a teacher and room

Open Teachers and Rooms in turn. Select Create in each section and enter, for example, AB / Alex Brown and R101 / Room 101. Master data details

  6. Create a timetable

Open Overview under Timetables, select Create, and enter the alias 1A and the name Class 1A.

  7. Create a lesson

Open the timetable and then Lessons. Select Create, choose Mathematics, and set Total to 2. Total is the number of occurrences you can place in the grid.

  8. Assign a teacher and room

In the lesson row, select Assign teacher and then AB - Alex Brown. Use Assign room to assign R101 - Room 101.

  9. Place the first occurrence

Return to the timetable. Drag the MAT card from the Lesson pool into an empty cell. The pool count drops from 2 to 1 because one occurrence remains to be placed.

  10. Download the PDF

Select Download. Wait for Export downloaded, then open the PDF file.

The grid contains a mathematics lesson with its teacher and room. One occurrence remains in the pool, and the PDF shows the current timetable.

  • If an option is missing, check that the subject, teacher, room, and timetable were created in the same project.
  • If MAT is missing from the pool, open Lessons and check that Total is greater than the number of placed occurrences.
  • If Failed to save appears, wait briefly, reload the page, and check the target cell.
  • If the download does not start, allow downloads for the site and try again.
