Create, switch, and clone projects
Create a separate project, switch safely between projects, or clone an existing foundation.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- You are a member of the correct organization.
- You know which period the project should represent.
- Before cloning, decide which data the new project really needs.

Create a project
Open Project overview, select Create project, enter a unique name, and confirm with Create project. A separate project is useful for each school year or semester.

Switch projects
Open Projects at the top of the sidebar. Select a project or Project overview. After switching, always check the displayed project name before changing data.

Clone a project
In the project overview, open Actions → Duplicate for the source project. Enter a name for the new project.

Choose what to copy
Select the seven options you need: Lesson slots, Subjects, Resources, Timetables, Class teachers, Lessons, and Lesson resources.

Observe dependencies
Class teachers require Resources and Timetables. Lessons require Subjects and Timetables. Lesson resources require Resources and Lessons. Timetable placements are not one of the seven copy options.

Create the copy
Select Clone project. Stundenwerk opens the new project. Check its name, lesson slots, master data, and lessons before continuing the schedule.
Delete project permanently removes the project and all its timetables, lessons, and placements. You cannot undo this action.
Permanently delete a project
Section titled “Permanently delete a project”-
Open the delete dialog
For the project, select Actions → Delete.

Confirm the name
Under Project name, enter the exact displayed project name.

Delete permanently
Check the name again and select Delete project.
Result
Section titled “Result”The new or cloned project appears in your project overview. A deleted project is no longer available there.
If it does not work
Section titled “If it does not work”- If Clone project is blocked, select the dependent options named in the error message.
- If a project is missing, check the current organization and reload the project overview.
- If deletion fails, copy the project name exactly, including spaces and additions.
